With many transitions and challenges, there is not doubt that this has been an incredibly busy year for me. I recently graduated from Marymount this past May with a degree in Liberal Studies and a focus in elementary education. With little time in between (actually one day), I started graduate school (also at Marmount), enrolling in the PDS program with a with a duel study in LD/PK-6. I plan to graduate from the program in May 2010.
I also moved into a new apartment this week and bought my first new car. Its all very exciting, but a little scary. I’m originally from Massachusetts, and with the exception of my older brother, who is also in DC, the rest of my family is still up North. Still I’m lucky that they visit me often.
In my “free time” I enjoy drawing, painting, being with friend, reading, and running. I am currently training for my fourth half-marathon.
Though this year has been a challenging and hectic one I am fortunate to have a loving family, and caring friends who support me. Despite everything not always turning out how I would have liked it, I am proud of my accomplishments. I am excited for all the new experiences and obstacles that I will encounter this year. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and in the end I think that all of my hard work will pay off.
